Ramblings from Retirement – Wisdom of the World

Ramblings from Retirement – Wisdom of the World

Recently I learned that Canada is doing some truly horrendous and disastrous things with families and the law; all in the name of social justice. I learned from online news sources that: “The father and mother were not raising the child together, so it was only when his daughter was 13 that the father learned that the girl’s public school and his ex-wife had been working with the child to turn her into a boy. This included pushing the child to take hormones to mimic male sexual attributes such as facial hair and a deep voice.

The father (who cannot be identified under Canadian law because doing so would also identify his daughter) went to court, saying that he needed to give parental consent before his child was permanently mutilated. Not only did a British Columbia court rule against him, saying the father’s consent wasn’t necessary, but the appellate judges also lectured him to understand gender dysphoria better.

While the father could do nothing to stop the permanent changes wrought on his daughter via hormone treatments, he steadfastly refused to refer to his daughter by masculine hormones. In today’s Canada, under the same ‘human rights’ laws that Peterson opposed, that is a criminal matter. Last week, the Canadian government sent him to prison for ‘misgendering’ his daughter. (American Thinker)”

It reminded me of what occurred in the Scriptures thousands of years ago in Israel when their government and rulers became corrupt: “In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit (Judges 17:6 NIV)”, and this where America is headed right now. How one feels, how one is personally offended, or how one perceives their world is fast becoming the ruling factor. Law is becoming none existent or is being rewritten or ignored to fit a political paradigm. Prosecutors are rewriting or ignoring the law instead of following it, mobs are allowed to riot, murder, and destroy personal property in the name of justice, and groups that dare disagree are branded as “racist”, “ignorant”, or socially unacceptable.

Do not be fooled, Christians are in the crosshairs of the liberal elites because we believe in family, the rule of law, and God’s wisdom. And I firmly believe it will take more than our thoughts and prayers to change our Nation. Christians will have to become active about their faith and willing to take the mistreatment that will follow by taking a godly stand. A man named Micah went against the popular narrative and restored worshipping God in his home. Yet he too was influenced by society succumbed and made idols and soon his “priest” left him, took the idols he made, and joined in the destruction of an entire city. We discover that over and over that the people of Israel did whatever they desired or lusted after because “In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit. (Judges 21:25 NIV)” It would not change until they came back to God in repentance and did as the Lord desired.

Jesus warned us, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates me hates my Father as well. (John 15:18-23 NIV)” If you live by the wisdom of the world you will face the judgment of God.
